See the other side of the mountains around St Anton with Skitouring Arlberg-style. Together with knowledgeable locals and using some lifts we will visit the quieter corners of the region away from the freeride hype. The motto of the clinic is medium-length ascents and long descents.

Ski Touring Arlberg-Style
THE CLINIC:
The clinic “Skitouring Arlberg-style” combines the use of various lifts with a ski touring program. The result is more downhill meters than uphill. Of course, a look at technique tips is part of it, but we mainly will explore the backcountry of the Arlberg region.
EDUCATIONAL GOALS:

LEVEL: Advanced, participation with touring skis
Ascent: Physical condition for 2 – 3 hours of ascending on skis (appr. 600 – 900m)
Descent: Off-piste or ski touring experience is required. Safe backcountry ski technique.
GEAR / EQUIPMENT:
# Complete ski touring equipment (ski touring ski, ski touring shoes, poles), emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel)
Lift ticket: You will need a day ticket for this clinic (ticket can be bought on-site directly at the accreditation at special conditions)

The meeting point is at 8:30 am at the Freeride Village. Welcome from your mountain guide. Equipment and safety check. Ascent with the ski lift, followed by a quick check on the riding level. Skitour in the beautiful Arlberg area. Lunch break in the backcountry – bring your own lunch. Return to the Freeride Village at around 3 pm.
